The Acroplis basketball tournament got a lot more interesting when a brawl erupted in the last game between Serbia and Greece. Starting with two players exchanging blows, both benches cleared in front of 5,000 stunned spectators at the Athens Olympic Arena.
Greece was leading 74-73 before the fight began.
The near riot was sparked by Greek forward Antonis Fotsis, who moved threateningly towards guardMilos Teodosic after a hard foul. Then Nenad Kristic joined the fray. A camera later caught him throwing a chair at Greek Center Sofoklis Schortsantitis, who was chasing him. The chair ended up missing him, though, and hit another Green center, Yannis Bouroussis.
